School Management Training
OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING
The following needs to be achieved throughout and by the end of the training course:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the vision of the school by the school management team in a transformational education system.
- Setting strategies, goals and tasks to achieve the vision.
- Management vs. leadership in the school environment (management in KFA’S)
- Adversity and conflict handling will be explored by doing teamwork activities.
- Recognising and gaining insight in developing emotional intelligence.
- The role of the SMT in the development of teachers’ vision and goals.
- Dealing effectively with the IQMS process and benefitting from the results.
- Listing the key characteristics to running a successful school.
- Recognising the importance of developing a supportive and involved school community.
- Running effective meetings in all areas.
- Writing useful and developmental work reports and departmental reports.
- Re-igniting the enthusiasm and passion for developing a strong education system.
PROGRAMME CONTENT
The programme content:
- Defining the vision of the school in a transformational education system.
- Management and leadership.
- Knowing your teachers personalities and developing potential (increasing human resource activity)
- Teamwork and dealing with conflict
- In-service training – IQMS
- Running effective meetings
- Running an effective school
- Writing useful and developmental work reports
- The school community
- Adversity and conflict handling.
- Emotional intelligence.
WORKSHOPS WILL BE CUSTOMISED TO SUIT THE NEEDS OF THE CLIENT.
