Facilitator's Workshop
OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING
The following needs to be achieved throughout and by the end of the training course:
The teachers will gain knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to develop and agree upon workable, realistic approaches to solve problems. The teacher as facilitator will be equipped to lead a task force and to motivate a team to work efficiently and towards a common vision. Practical techniques will be used to learn skills to build consensus, maintain enthusiasm and manage adversity.
PROGRAMME CONTENT
The following will be covered:
- Identifying the 10 principles of facilitation
- Description of the best practices of each principle to enable the individual to
- Lead a team
- Establish a strategic direction
- Run better meetings
- Ensuring the effective running of all key function areas in school management
- Develop all tasks with carefully thought out, outcomes
- Dealing with adversity and conflict
- Define the needs of the community or user
- The role of the facilitator and identifying ground rules for the facilitator
- Facilitation observation tool
- Evaluating yourself as a facilitator
- Teachers will learn and practice group techniques to learn the skills of facilitation.
WORKSHOPS WILL BE CUSTOMISED TO SUIT THE NEEDS OF THE CLIENT.
